Essay / A brief note on hepatitis and its effects - 1203
Hepatitis is a disease that is slowly becoming known throughout the world. We don't hear it often but it's a disease about which we really know nothing or very little. Hepatitis is a disease that attacks the liver, it causes inflammation of the liver. The cause of the disease is caused by toxins in the body or that we introduce into our body, namely alcohol. It can also be caused by other viruses that cause liver damage, for example hepatitis A and hepatitis C. Hepatitis A is caused either by not washing your hands beforehand or by eating contaminated food from a person who has not washed. their hands before preparing food. This is a serious illness that can be very dangerous and it takes very little to stop its spread. Hepatitis is a disease that attacks the liver and it is estimated that around 350 million people worldwide have been infected with the disease and having so many people infected causes 620,000 deaths per year worldwide. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), approximately 43,000 people in the United States were infected with the HBV virus in 2007. In the United States, people who contract this disease are between the ages of 25 and 44. goes up to the youngest if he is 15 years old. We have so many people infected at this age because the disease can be transmitted through sex and at this age they are usually very sexually active or using illicit drugs and are likely exposed to contaminated blood. Since 1990, there has been a decrease in the number of people or babies infected due to vaccinations and also increased public awareness of the disease. When a person contracts hepatitis B, they are thought to have an “acute” infection. Most people can be cured with the help...... middle of paper...... can easily be diagnosed. Blood abnormalities can also help diagnose the disease. There is only one way to be sure it is hepatitis and these tests are called markers or serology. Markers in the blood can confirm hepatitis B and also detect whether it is acute hepatitis. These markers are substances produced by the hepatitis B virus and antibodies produced by the immune system to fight the virus. It contains 3 antigens for which there are commonly used tests. For acute hepatitis B, I do not need fog medication, although patients may be diagnosed with liver failure. If a person is diagnosed chronically, they must have multiple blood tests so they can receive the appropriate treatment. If the patient is diagnosed with hepatitis B E antigen, they will receive a different type of medication, as this leads to liver failure.
