• Alex walks into the fitness center where you work. He is a 16-year-old high school football and basketball player. Currently, he is preparing for his next football season. His coach is worried about his injuries because his flexibility is pretty bad.1. Please provide a detailed description of your first session with your client by answering a, b, and c. Client Intake Forms: What processes did you follow before conducting flexibility assessments for your client? (6 pts) Before conducting any flexibility assessment with my client, I met with Alex and discussed the purpose of the meeting and his objectives. I then obtained his liability waiver forms, patient history forms and clarified that medical clearance was not required. Alex is six feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. During this meeting, I was informed that Alex is a young high school student who participates in football and basketball sports teams. Football practice takes place 1 hour each morning before school starts and basketball takes place three days a week for 2 hours. Football games are held almost every Friday and basketball games every other Saturday. Provide relevant background information to your client that may affect this program: what have you learned about them in the process admission? (4 pts) During our meeting, I learned that Alex does a lot of physical activity with football and basketball but not enough time to properly stretch and cool down his muscles. Alex also worries that if he doesn't learn how to properly stretch his muscles and improve his flexibility, the risk of injury will be higher. Based on the exercises he performs for workouts, I will be able to suggest dynamic and static stretches for warm-up and cool-down that will gradually help increase flexibility. Say which assessments you have chosen to perform and HOW they were carried out. What were your client's results (you make them up) and corresponding SMART goals? (8 pts) With Alex, I felt that the three assessments needed to measure his flexibility would be the sit and reach test, the calf flexibility test, and the shoulder flexibility test. Since there is no targeted area for improvement, I thought these three items would be a good starting point for assessing his improvements in flexibility. For the sit and reach test, I asked Alex to take off his shoes and sit on the floor with his soles on. the feet are placed flat against the box. Then I asked him to straighten his legs and press him against the floor..
