The original taxonomy, Bloom developed six categories which included knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation and translated into over 22 languages (Krathwohl, p. 213, 2002). Costa (1985) reduced the six categories to three levels: level one – the basement or introduction of knowledge; Level two, the ground floor, practices the knowledge acquired: and level three: the penthouse, demonstrates mastery of the knowledge learned. Blooms Taxonomy. Using Blooms Taxonomy, questions and keywords can be used to expand the measurement categories. They made the revision (Anderson, Krathwohl, Airasian, Cruikshank, Mayer, Pintrich, Raths, Wittrock, 2000) and moved the synthesis to the first stage of creation. The second step became evaluation.
