    In 1997, a group of students gave birth to something that would become a world-famous phenomenon, Counter-Strike. Counter-Strike is an online, team-based first-person shooter. In this game, both teams (terrorists and counter-terrorists) compete against each other using various team-specific weapons and try to achieve victory by achieving team-specific objectives. Counter-terrorists must rescue hostages, protect personalities and protect bomb sites from terrorists. There are two shotguns to choose from in Counter-Strike, the M3 Super Shotgun and the Bennelli XM Auto Rifle. Both of these weapons are best used in close-quarters combat, although their use has seen some success in mid-range situations. Shotguns are extremely powerful and are loaded with a deadly 12 gauge shell that can land on the opponent in two shots or less.
