Essay / What is Spiritual Development - 1101
Spiritual: I believe that spiritual development determines and helps how a child behaves during this stage. Depending on the type of spirituality and connection to a higher source, it helps to teach and distinguish right from wrong. I think this contributes to the mindset of many young children throughout this stage of life. In the district where I work, the community believes a lot in God. In my class, when we discuss certain topics, students always refer to the Bible or their beliefs. If a student in my class gets in trouble and does something that doesn't seem appropriate, students will make comments like what Jesus would do, or you know God doesn't like that. So I believe it has a major impact on the lives of our students. Intellectual: During this stage, a child's metamemory, selective attention, and use of mnemonic strategies begin to improve. They acquire better information processing skills. From middle childhood to adolescence, students' intelligence can be measured in different ways. There is a major growth in pragmatics, vocabulary usage, grammar and syntax. They develop skills in reading comprehension, but also in writing. During middle childhood and adolescence, different sources of learning problems may be recognized or recognized. Students may have some type of learning disability, ADHD, or dyslexia. Children with dyslexia usually have a parent who also has dyslexia. That’s why we have 504s and IEPs to ensure that all children with disabilities have the right to a free and appropriate education. There may also be communication disorders such as articulation, expressive/receptive communication disorder, or stuttering.Emotional:Em...... middle of paper ......ment or work situation • concern about appearance, weight, and agingContinuous exposure to stressors can lead to a decline in the immune system or a reduction in the body's ability to handle stressful situations.
