Media effects in the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet UnionThe media or means of communication were conceptualized to transmit and transmit information to as many people as possible because it is the place where information can be a linear form of communication. This essay will explain what is meant by media according to the online business dictionary, defined as the communication channels through which information, entertainment, education, data or promotional messages are disseminated. This may include broadcast and restricted media such as newspapers, magazines, television, radio, billboards, direct mail, telephone, fax and the Internet, the Business Dictionary further includes in this definition. From this definition of media, it has a certain wide effect and impact on the audience it addresses. The impact on the public can be positive or negative. Positive impact can include educational information and knowledge about certain ideas, policies, laws or even current events. Negative impact may alter or damage a person, institution, or organization's rebuttal based on the impression. Since the impact of the media can be dictated by the content it broadcasts or publishes, it was used during the Cold War to strengthen the campaign for socialism or communism and capitalism or democracy. Additionally, this essay will study the effects of media during the Cold War with the use of television, newspapers, and radio broadcasts in Russia and America. After the end of World War II, the Cold War began with Russia and America spreading several propagandas with the use of three different media such as radio, newspapers and television.
