Proverbs 32:24: “He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him takes care to discipline him. » Since biblical times, spanking has been the most common and widespread discipline among children. Since many Americans claim to be Christians, they follow the Holy Bible. Although spanking is a type of ritual discipline that has existed among humans since biblical times and even before Christ, the world has grown and evolved to find other means of punishment and discipline for their children. But since the high rate of parents arrested for child abuse charges after beating their children, many families have found and used other methods of punishment. Which brings us to the general question: “Should spanking be banned in the United States?” » There have been several cases where parents/guardians have been arrested for "child abuse." Although there are cases where it is obvious that the child or children have been abused; but there are also some that are just parent-child spankings. So what does Texas state law say about spanking? It states: “It is legal for parents to discipline their children as they wish, as long as it clearly does not cause major harm or lasting marks on the child's physical body or health. For example, in 2009, a mother, Elmendorf, was arrested and charged with seriously injuring her ten-year-old son Christopher when he refused to clean his room. The next day at school, the school nurse, Smith, noticed red marks on the child's face and neck. There have been many cases like this that make people wonder; Is spanking really illegal? The history of spanking runs very deep in world history. This dates back to the first records of the 10th century. In fact, spanking is middle of paper......and surveys, public schools that spank their students claim that spanking encourages and makes children think twice before making a decision. So if the law makes spanking illegal, then the children in these schools will become more wild and reckless than before.
