The sudden suggestion for Soraya to move in with Amir seems a bit rushed. A moment between the couple is needed to make their relationship seem smoother and more realistic, as they are each other's saviors. Complementing this, the use of the personal pronouns “we” and “our” emphasizes that Amir believes that he and Soraya are now eternally linked. “Chest to chest” emphasizes their intimacy and their desire to touch each other. The repetition of “chest” here demonstrates that they are reflections of each other. Likewise “Intertwined fingers” symbolizes their equality within their relationship. This was achieved because they trusted each other with their secrets. Suggesting that to achieve redemption, Amir must reveal his surreptitious secrets. Their love is presented as both emotional and physical. It can be argued that it is obligatory for Amir to love Soraya, in order for him to earn his redemption, he must overcome his sin....
