AbstractThis article will consist of exploring the concept of sexual expression and clearly defining this topic in a critical manner. It will address themes such as individual expression, which consists of defining oneself in terms of actions. For example: appearance, the way of communicating, or simply the way we act. Sexual expression will be seen through social interactions and how and where people can interact with others. Sexual expression will be mainly studied in the different types of emotions felt to achieve sexual expression. The factors that will be examined concern the positive and negative behaviors that lead people to express their sexuality. The article by Ridley, Ogolsky, Payne, Totenhagen & Cate presents research on how sexual expression has been understood today and how it can be articulated as it relates to positive and negative behaviors. In DeLamater's article, he talks about the different roles of sexual expression later in life and how it affects us emotionally. These two articles help to better understand the concept of sexual expression and are the purpose of this article. Sexual Expression The topic of sexual expression has always been a difficult concept to define and the definition has changed dramatically over time. The idea of sexual expression can be interpreted in terms of sexuality, means of communication, or how people present themselves in this world as a sexual being. It can represent a sense of identity and help understand a human being's orientation, gender, and role.
