Cloud SecurityHackers have made their way into every technological gadget. Something simple like browsing the web can provide hackers with information about people's data. Before cloud computing, hackers stole data from the physical hard drive by implementing a virus that opened a backdoor and sent the data directly to the hacker's server. As a security measure, businesses, small businesses, and normal consumers have started storing data on the cloud. However, what the user or business fails to understand is that information stored in the cloud is just as vulnerable to hacking as physical information stored on the hard drive. As technology emerges, the cloud is booming and users are resorting to it to store information, which must be properly implemented to prevent information from being stolen or lost. The most important question is what is cloud computing and why is it important for storage. and secure data. According to an article in PC Mag, “Cloud computing means storing and accessing data and programs on the Internet rather than on your computer's hard drive” (Griffith 2013). For data to be considered cloud, it must be stored online and synced with devices. For example, just take a look at what the Iphone does and how that correlates when it syncs with I cloud. When these data such as pictures, music and contacts are backed up, they are stored not only on the local storage but also on the Cloud server so that many Apple products can access them.
