    2. Search problem. Issues surrounding the natural environment and the measures needed to save it are pervasive themes in current Australian political and social discourse; awareness is high and opinions are divided. With the imminent replacement of generations, the environmental movement, represented by Environmental Movement Organizations (OMEs), is playing an increasingly important role in attempts to change public opinion and behavior. This research considers it important to understand how millennials' attitudes about the importance of contemporary environmental issues relate to their support for environmental movement organizations (OMEs). This research aims to determine whether self-reported pro-environmental attitudes predict actual pro-environmental behavior.3. Context and justification of the project. It is generally accepted that the planet is in crisis and that drastic and immediate action is imperative; This is a growing sentiment globally. The movement to preserve and protect our planet's natural environment and ecosystems has therefore gained momentum, thanks to higher levels of awareness and knowledge about environmental issues. This can be attributed to the gradual politicization and routinization of environmental issues, as well as continued media coverage (Tranter 2010; Crook & Pakulski 1995). The role of environmental activism and environmentalism in this process is remarkable. The “new environmentalism” movement of the late 20th century is particularly relevant here.
