Universities are designed for students looking to continue their studies in a university environment. Two-year colleges are designed for students seeking higher education with the option of seeking career training or a college degree. And technical colleges design strictly vocational training for the career of their choice. Lately, there have been discussions to merge DeKalb Tech College and Georgia Perimeter College under the Technical College System of Georgia structure for academic learning. But the mere idea of ​​a merger raises many concerns, both among current students and future students who decide to pursue higher education.
