Wayne defines how one should study applications of systematic theology. so that one grows up, has a basic summary of Christian doctrine, and does not study doctrine for the sake of doctrine, but studies theology in order to bring about spiritual growth and to grow and plant seeds of hope, to enlighten oneself on heavy theological topics and to educate people in other religious sects. Finally, Dr. Grudem summarizes how a Christian should proceed and how a student of systematic theology should proceed through the book. It is also important to note that these should become fundamental elements. that every student of God's word should apply in their fundamental spiritual infrastructure: we should study systematic theology with prayer, we should study systematic theology with humility, we should study systematic theology with reason, we should study theology systematically with the help of others, we should study systematic theology by compiling and coming to knowledge of all relevant passages of Scripture on any subject, and we should study systematic theology with joy and praise..
