  • Essay / Why is Fidel Castro charismatic? - 707

Among these leaders, Fidel Castro is the most influential. Fidel Castro as a former revolutionary leader, in 1959, he took his brother Raul Castro and Che Guevara, led the Cuban people to overthrow the US-backed Batistuta dictatorship. For many decades, the United States was unhappy with Castro-led Cuba and imposed a blockade and embargo against it. Fidel Castro insisted so much on revolution and never gave in. He always wears the khaki military uniform in public to represent his revolutionary determination. In the 1960s, the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) repeatedly organized Cuban mercenaries for armed landings and attempted to assassinate Castro, in order to change the revolutionary regime under Castro's rule. Castro once said that in his life he had been a bee. A few years ago, former US President Mr. Clinton mocked him in a speech. He said: “He is president of Cuba when I was in kindergarten, he is president when I was in elementary school, he is president when I was in high school, he is present when I was in middle school , he was president when I was in high school. He campaigned for the presidency of the United States, and he's still here even though I'm no longer president of the United States." Fidel Castro is a leader who was never afraid of being assassinated and is therefore determined to revolutionize the country.
