In this essay, I have chosen two poems that I will talk about. The first poem is 'The Full Moon' which is in poem form. The second poem is “The horse that looked at me” which is a free verse poem. This poetry seems both motivating and entertaining to me. The purpose of this essay is to contrast the rhyme, stanza, and imagery of these two poems. First, I will discuss the rhyme of the two poems. The full moon has a poem of fourteen lines, it has four stanzas. In this poetry, the author spoke of a full moon, a vast universe, a storm and a roaring cloud. In this full moon poem, the first stanza rhymes with the second line and the third line rhymes with the fourth. “Stars” rhymes with “Light”. In the second stanza, the first line rhymes with the third and the second line rhymes with the fourth. “Dark” rhymes with “cloistered place” and “full moon” rhymes with “sight”. In the third stanza, the first line rhymes with the second line. “Small” rhymes with “earth” because in this whole universe, the earth seems to be a small object. In the fourth stanza, the second line rhymes with the third line. “Vast” rhymes with “past”. On the other hand, the horse that looked at me does not follow the rules and has no rhyme because it is a free verse poem. However, they have artistic expression. Secondly, I will discuss the stanza of the two poems. The Full Moon has four stanzas. In this poem, the first two stanzas have four lines in each stanza and the other two stanzas have three lines in each stanza. In the first stanza, "After the evening storm I went out", the author explains that when there was an evening storm, all... middle of paper ...... I believe that the Full moon poetry is quite simple. . I like this poetry title because it seems interesting and encouraging. This poetry was handled correctly and it was told in a clear and simple manner. This poetry is understandable. This poetry used a beautiful expression towards the poem. I like this poem because it is open and clear to understand. The poetry of the Horse that looked at me is a harsh and confusing poetry. The poet described this poetry in a confusing manner. As a reader, I'm not really interested in this poetry. In this poetry, the poet uses the complete verse anywhere in this poetry. This poem does not follow any current model. When I first read this poetry, I didn't notice any variation in this poem. However, looking closer, this poetry gives great impact and interest on difficult words..
