The government implemented laws such as the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, the age discrimination in employment of 1967, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, and the Civil Rights of 199. All of these laws protect against discrimination by race, ethnicity, religion, color, sexual preference, sex, and age.
