He was part of the Renaissance and helped change the face of this planet for the better. The Renaissance was a period between the late 14th and mid-16th centuries. Its name comes from the French word “Renaissance” which means “rebirth”. Around this time, people began to question why and realize that they could think independently. Additionally, the people's decisions were not as influenced by religion or, in most cases, the Church. This movement was initiated by humanist thoughts spread everywhere by Protestants who wanted to separate from the Church. Soon, people began to embrace this idea and it continued to spread at a rapid pace. Being a Renaissance man/woman is a very special thing. The literal definition is a man or woman who is knowledgeable and skilled in many areas. But there is much more to this. When a Renaissance person creates a work that they share with the public, it affects the way the public thinks.
