Essay / South Africa In South Africa - 3155
IntroductionSouth Africa is a nation that has gone through many things/challenges that have cost many families suffering and left them in sorrow while having many unanswered questions. It can be said that regardless of all the efforts made over the last 20 years to change the situation in South Africa during apartheid, nothing seems to work, it is clear to me that the past still exists in a one way or another in certain parts of our country. In society, a number of South Africans who have still not overcome the loss of their loved ones due to racial discrimination as well as other challenges they faced in the past are affecting the new generation as this constitutes a trauma which is truly destroying the bright future that we expect of these young people. Is South Africa a sick society? According to Jonathan Jansen, South Africa is a sick society because black people still believe that they are victims of superiors and oppressors who happen to be white. , where certain measures have been put in place to try to help them move forward in life and heal, which is indeed a major challenge because they are still with the past, which poses a threat to the new generation who see violent and aggressive behavior displayed by adults who are supposed to be role models for young people to ensure that our country becomes a better place for all. I believe that today's youth are so aggressive because of events in the past that left many of them with unbearable grief and pain as well as the loss of loved ones. I believe there are some things that need to be given our full attention before we can even begin to talk about moving toward transforming the who...... middle of paper ...... why addressing requirements more effectively is because it are things that most of our parents refuse to talk about because they say the minutes they commit to talking about it bring up old wounds that are best left that way because they say talking about them won't bring back their affairs . Conclusion South Africa as a whole must work together to build a violence-free and unified nation, where racial discrimination is not as high as it is now, but where there is no fear to go and ask their neighbors for food in the event of a hunger strike. . As a nation we must try to work together to overcome what happened in the past and uplift each other without any bitterness and I truly believe that if we are united no one can stand in our way, all as the ANC slogan says: “together we can do more but alone I cannot”
