On the other side of the coin, we see the negative side effects if the implementations don't go as well. If workers are overworked due to the added responsibilities that come with job enrichment, they might forget to return their emails or their mood will create more distant behavior. ConclusionJob enrichment and change can be great for waking up employees from their monotonous and boring jobs. Especially if there are complaints about repetition or lack of employee accountability, job enrichment may be the answer. But like any change, there could be negative side effects.
