    Tribute to AlbersJosef Albers, a prominent 20th century artist who created stunning paintings evoking his passion and curiosity for color. He mastered a wide range of mediums and continually shared his explorations with his students. Josef Albers is an idol that the artistic community will never forget. Josef was born on March 19, 1888 in Bottrop, Germany. At the age of 17, he became a teacher in a primary school. At age 25, he studied in Berlin to develop his skills and become a certified art teacher. Over the years, he continued to develop his education by attending several art academies; The School of Arts and Crafts, the Munich Academy and Franz von Stuck. In 1922, he enrolled at the Bauhaus, an educational institution in Weimar, Germany. It was here at the Bauhaus that his achievements began and where he met his life partner, Anni.
