Globalization affects almost everything in the world today by mixing cultures, beliefs, people and ideas in the melting pot of society. Since terrorism has been impacted by globalization, it has left the world in a war of terror and a desperate effort to unite against growing terrorist groups. After the many tragic global events caused by terrorism, such as 9/11, the London Underground bombing and the Beslan school hostage crisis, the world has significantly changed its mentality towards the future. The world is being forced to unite against an emerging threat and at the same time is reducing the financing of terrorism by reducing various purchases of oil and other products from organizations aiding terrorist groups such as illegal drug traffickers. Along with the dwindling financial resources of terrorist groups, allied regions are working against countries that continue to harbor terrorists and providing them with their lands as a safe haven by uniting against countries that harbor terrorists. Countries fighting terrorism, especially the United States of America, are reforming passenger and cargo security at airports, also improving technology to detect bomb-like substances, weapons and nuclear/radiological items in airport cargo, airport passengers, global trade, shipping. containers and any other possible entry of weapons for terrorist attacks. The goal to end terrorism and the war on terrorism is to remove the basic needs of terrorists, unite nations against them, prohibit the harboring of terrorists in enemy countries, and have a long ahead in terms of security to prevent further terrorist attacks. a profitable organization and therefore depends on income from illegal activities...... middle of paper ....... 2014.
