Every day, many people witness and are exposed to many different situations and emergencies. The bystander effect is a social psychological phenomenon that refers to people who do not offer help to a victim in a situation in the presence of other people. The study by Abbate, Ruggieri, and Boca (2013) showed that helping behavior can be easily initiated. Over the years, many researchers and social psychologists have studied how knowledge is activated in individual memory and how this information shapes and guides emotions, impressions, and judgments. For example, the studies of Bargh, Chen, and Burrows (1996), mentioned in the work of Abbate, Ruggieri, and Bocas (2013), explain the perspective on behavior and the trait concepts that activate relative behavior.
