    In this essay I will describe the sociological implications of the modern economy and the work environment, also explaining how technological changes have altered personal job satisfaction and the ramifications sociological aspects of these. actions.The sociological implications on the modern economy are in a state of vigor. The economy is struggling financially and more and more people are earning just enough wages to survive and the unemployment rate has increased over the past decade. “We are no longer producing what we need to sustain ourselves, we are importing far more than we export, and we are selling off our assets and taking on massive debts to maintain a standard of living that we can no longer afford. Not only is this not how we became a superpower, but it is a sure way to lose that status” (THOMAS HEFFNER, 2012, Economic Problems Facing the US, Americans Economic Report-Daily, p. 1). The sociological implications in the work environment are more complex than in the modern economy. The work environment is considered a place where a person can earn income to support themselves and others. The company also says that in a work environment, women are at a slight disadvantage compared to their male colleagues, regardless of their qualifications in certain circumstances. Structural-functional analysis is a system based on building society and bringing it together to accomplish something. “Symbolic interaction theory analyzes society by addressing the subjective meanings that people impose on objects, events, and behaviors” (Ashley Crossman, 2011, Symbolic Interaction Theory, About.com Sociology, p. 1 ). Social conflict analysis brings together individuals who assert material and non-material resources that could mean rich or poor. The three analyses...... middle of article ...... In conclusion, all the actions I have discussed in this essay have social ramifications. Technology is a great source to rely on, but it should not be the first option because if this continues it will harm humanity. One of the social consequences is that technology advances so much in the job market that jobs will begin to use machines to manifest their labor and leave humans jobless. Technology is so advanced that people like me are able to complete their studies from a laptop, which is a bonus if it takes time, but also a burden because the traditional way people go to school I miss university.
