In this novel, social issues were immensely involved, such as depression, rape, suspense and drama. Because young adults who read this story will be able to expand their knowledge by adapting to the mixture of tensions with her peers, a young girl struggling with problems in high school and who also harms herself. As Hannah was a young teenager (like most readers) dealing with high school and its combination of hatred, rumors, and relationships, all of which can take a toll on a human being. Fiction was included in this novel, and without some unrealistic events that happened in this story, this book would not have been exciting. And this is where the suspense and drama of social issues enters the world of fiction. Without the fiction and creativity, this novel would have been about a young girl living her life as a high school student and the drama she would face, there would be no creativity or anything suspenseful, or even the desire to continue . read while wondering what will happen next.
