Gun ownership deters crime rather than causing more crime. However, guns are very dangerous and are already used in all kinds of criminal activities. Therefore, the advantages of having a gun outweigh the disadvantages of not having one. Regardless of one's beliefs about whether or not gun control should be enforced, the Second Amendment to the Constitution gives everyone the right to carry
