Age and Life Experiences Product Three Types of FaithfulThe religious band in America is predominantly Christian. There seems to be a growing interest in spirituality. However, there is a big difference in the devotion of the faithful and the frequency of church attendance. How these people attend church is influenced by their age and also by whether or not they have endured difficult life situations. After attending a few religious services, one becomes very aware of the different types of attendees. There are three types of churchgoer categories: the churchgoers who never miss a service, the churchgoers who show up for Sunday morning service, and last, but certainly not least, the holiday churchgoers. The first group of these categories is that of the faithful who never miss a service. Christians missing a service. They consider themselves the foundation of the Christian faith. Their lives are centered on following Jesus Christ. Additionally, it is unacceptable to simply attend typical Sunday morning and evening services. This group is involved in all aspects of church functions. For example, on Sunday morning, they arrive at church in time for Sunday School and participate in praise and worship. They are the first to welcome newcomers to the church and respond to prayer requests. For them, the midweek service, which usually takes place on Wednesday, is just as important as the Sunday morning service. If there is a wake-up call every day of the week, they are there. These people routinely give ten percent of their income to their churches: a practice known as tithing. Not paying tithing is not an option; tithes take priority over their bills and are paid from any income they receive...... middle of paper...... that is not essential to their lives. They tend to be single or living with a significant other. The sanctity of marriage is not necessary. Sexual orientation can be heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual; it will depend on what fits their lifestyle. They tend to live by a fuzzy version of the “Golden Rule,” meaning they focus more on being a good person than on God. Although many people identify under the umbrella of Christianity, these same individuals have differing opinions on how often they should attend church. The faithful of the Christian church can be divided into three categories: the faithful who never miss a service, the faithful who show up to church on Sunday morning, and the holiday faithful. Often, individuals fall into these classifications based on their age and whether or not they have experienced past difficulties..
