When families move, whether by choice or necessity, autistic children really struggle. Facts show that autistic people have some sort of abnormality in their brains (Autism Speaks Inc.). Many researchers believe that the wiring in their brains is faulty, causing poor communication between cells (Organization for Autism Research). This causes social awkwardness and strange behavior. Many scientists have discovered that autistic children have too many nerve fibers. Even with the extra fibers, their brains still have difficulty communicating. (Autism Speaks Inc.) It's mind-boggling, isn't it? At birth, children with autism have abnormally small brains.
