INTRODUCTIONThe Armed Forces of the Philippines Transformation Roadmap (AFPTR) is an important part of our plan to fulfill our aspiration to become a world-class armed force. world class. We seek to build a strong army, fully effective in its mission, professional, credibly equipped and highly responsive to technological, doctrinal and sociological changes. I believe we can achieve our vision of becoming world-class armed forces, a source of national pride by 2028. The AFP can achieve these goals, firstly, by adhering to the three components of the transformation roadmap, secondly , thanks to strong support. stakeholders and thirdly, leadership commitment.COMPONENTS OF THE TRANSFORMATION ROADMAPThe AFPTR is based on the Performance Governance System (PGS) which is an adaptation of the Harvard Balanced Scorecard framework to the local circumstances of the Philippines . The AFP has instituted reforms based on the principles of good governance and performance excellence. The AFPTR comprises three key elements, firstly, the Charter Statement, which defines and defines the strategic direction to be pursued. Second, a strategy map that describes the strategic objectives and defines the relationships between these objectives. Third, a governance dashboard to ensure that strategic objectives are met and Vision 2028 is achieved. (JO 5, 2014) The AFP has established three base camps along the path to achieve vision 2028. By the end of 2016, the AFP will be fully mission capable. By 2022, a strong and sustainable armed force in the Pacific region. The ultimate goal for 2028 is to become a world-class armed force. In a mission capable AFP, the plan is to develop and improve our human resources, but one source of skepticism is mission capability...... middle of paper ......A class-leading armed force global by 2008, although bold and ambitious, is achievable, through proper implementation or execution of the AFPTR, dedicated commitment from leaders and strong support from various stakeholders. This governance framework will integrate and harmonize the various programs and activities of the AFP. With the IPSP open to the public, it signifies the AFP's willingness to draw on the support of a wide range of stakeholders. The paradigm shift from IPSP to winning the peace rather than simply defeating the enemy will result in security, development and progress. References (2010).
