Essay / The characteristics of a political party - 878
Age is a factor of influence not only on political parties in general, but also on political socialization. The era in which we are born influences the opinions we will adopt. Additionally, our individual experiences are unique from others, which can be a deciding factor in adopting a belief. Personally, age has helped me shape my beliefs and adopt policies that should have been passed by Parliament, partly because of my experience. To be more specific, regarding Medicare, I don't believe we should pay taxes because of factors that concern the government and not us in particular. In the book, many young people resist taxes intended to fund Medicare, while older people, on the other hand, resist anything.
