  • Essay / Traits of Leaders - 1116

As John Quincy Adams said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader. » When people think of a leader, they may think of the President of the United States or, for sports, a quarterback. Everyone knows that a leader must know how to lead people towards the goal, whether it is being a successful businessman or winning the Super Bowl. However, people have different opinions on what qualities a leader should possess. Some say a leader must be determined; others say leaders must be honest. Many people are leaders in history and in our own lives. Leaders are not always good people, there are also bad leaders. There are things a leader can do that can lead to failure. I think there are many different types of leaders, and while everyone has their own opinion on what a leader is, they are all similar in many ways. Barrack Obama, the President of the United States, has many responsibilities as a leader. For example, it ensures that the economy continues to improve. It also ensures that the country operates safely by creating laws against crime. A leader must be inspiring to others, trustworthy, and responsible for the actions of the team or group. A quarterback is also a leader like Tom Brady of the New England Patriots. Brady must be able to inspire his team when there is a critical situation in the game. When there are only two minutes left and the offense needs to go 70 yards for a touchdown, the team turns to Brady and puts the ball in his hands. If the team loses, he must take responsibility for the result of the match. When leaders talk about problems, they take them on themselves or as a whole... middle of paper... not your idea alone. These are just some of the things a leader can do to fail. Overall, leaders may have different goals but may have some of the same qualities. Everyone has their own opinion about a leader and what they need to do to be successful. Some of the most important qualities of a leader are being determined, focused, inspiring and open to feedback. There are not only good leaders, but also bad ones. Leaders can be a famous person or your mother. Ultimately, all leaders, whether sports, business or family, want to succeed. cns!17376F4C11A91E0E!879.entryhttp://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/GERhitler.htmhttp://www.leadershipatwork.co.za/Articles/what_makes_good_leaders_go_bad.htm
