An interest in business and agricultural studies has always taken one form or another throughout my life, from running a farm in seventh grade to starting a mentoring program during the first year or serving as treasurer of the National Honor Society. At first, I was learning how to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables and then figuring out how to sell them to make a tidy profit. Later, I studied how to successfully construct a budget for a new mentoring class at our school and this year I studied the complex economics and management theories prevailing globally. These experiences built my passion for applied economics and management at Cornell's College of Agriculture and Sciences. This specific college offers classes and professors that demonstrate the same interests that I am looking for in college. Although I have already acquired a large amount of business knowledge, my studies have also taught me the countless approaches and angles from which one can approach a business problem.
