  • Essay / Preserving Species Around the World - 1750

Many people believe that animals are simply creatures that humans have the ability to control. They fail to take into consideration that animals contribute much more to this planet than we give them credit for. In today's society, people often view animals as a source of food, as pets, or as an object of entertainment. All animal species are needed for many more activities in the environment and should not be subject to this overexploitation and abuse. Most of these abuses are caused by hunting, legalization and poaching, by people who extract animals from their natural environment for entertainment purposes, or by the simple negligence of humans who cause the invasion of waste or waste. other harmful materials in the environment of these animals. Humans using animals for their own selfish purposes, while being careless with their waste and materials, should be controlled by international law in order to prevent extinction, increased negative effects on humans and imbalance of the natural environment from which these animals come. The main problem with hunting wild animals, whether legal or illegal, is that it causes extinction. By pulling animals out of their natural habitat by killing them, their ability to mate and reproduce is inhibited. Although this may not have a major impact at first, over time it can lead to the extinction and death of even more different animals. Over the past decade, at least ten species have become extinct (Regan). This means that every year, one or more entire populations of animals have completely disappeared from this planet. This comes from the fact that humans excessively use the resources of these animals, whether for food, clothing, decoration, etc. By the time scientists realized these species were on the verge of extinction, it was almost... middle of paper...... carelessness. Once again, humans appear to be causing a large number of deaths that can lead to a decline in a species' population. The human population continues to fail to recognize that it is overusing animal resources and mistreating these animals. If this overexploitation and mistreatment does not change, the populations of thousands of species could be at risk and many ecosystems and important industries will be put at risk. More attention must be paid to different ecosystems and animal species, whether threatened or still highly populated, in order to keep them alive and in good health. Stricter laws on hunting, treatment of animals and disposal of waste, as well as taking more precautions when handling potentially harmful materials, would have a huge impact on the environment that would benefit humans and animals around the world..
