Information and messages can be conveyed to the public through advertising, which can further build brand awareness, brand name, brand recognition and reputation of the brand or product. Furthermore, the company's background, information and future plans can be disclosed appropriately and accurately, which can be considered a good positive indicator of the company's future performance for investors (Kim and Morris , 2003). Thus, the product promoted by advertising can obtain greater visibility compared to its competitors, which results in a higher market price and better performance. Some research has indicated that advertising spending can be considered a business investment because advertising can bring profits to the business by increasing sales. The causal relationship between advertising and sales has been highlighted in many studies. Under ideal conditions, if we spend one dollar on advertising, we can make at least three dollars in sales as a result of advertising (Broadbent, 1997).
