    Man versus nature has been an ultimate conflict since the beginning of human life on earth. The battle between man and nature is playing out with natural disasters like the Colombian volcanic eruption in November 1985 and the Philippines typhoon in November 2013. Nature always wins, leaving us in a catastrophe of loss of life and material damage. The article "Philippine storms kill around 10,000 people, destruction hampers rescue efforts", by Manuel Mogato and Roli Ng of BBC World News, November 10, 2013, reports an estimated 9.5 million people affected by this disastrous storm in the nine regions of the Philippines. “Equipped rescuers dig up volcanic victims; Aid is slow to reach the Colombian city. an article by Bradley Graham of the Washington Post mentions the same case of a “once picturesque country” buried under mud. The victims and residents of these two disasters were greatly affected, however, the people of Colombia were even more affected after the disaster, as Armero, Colombia, turned into a mass of debris and corpses and the efforts rescue efforts were long and arduous.
