    Anthony Kennedy is known for his conservative views while having a biased ruling focused on individual rights, Kennedy joined the United States Court of Appeals in the 1970s and in 1988, where he was appointed by Ronald Reagan. As a young boy he came into contact with prominent politicians and developed an affinity for the world of government and public service. Kennedy grew up involved in the law from an early age because his father went to law school to build a strong legal practice, while his mother was active in civic affairs. Starting in a law firm, Kennedy acted on what would be his life's interest in education; he then accepted a position teaching constitutional law at the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific.
