How much do you really know about reality TV? Is it “true” or “false”? The effect of reality television on children and young adults is a topic that is rarely discussed in today's society. These thoughts were not expressed in full, showing both sides of the situation and allowing you to make your decision. Reality TV has affected everyone in one way or another, but it mainly affects children and young adults because their minds are not yet fully developed. People in today's society are affected by the things we see and incorporate them in one way or another into our daily lives. In today's society, everything you see, hear and read is true, no matter where it started. Many people aren't sure how "reality TV" actually works, how it influences our pop culture, and why people see it as more credible than their everyday lives. According to Oxford Dictionaries, reality television is "television programs in which real people are filmed continuously, designed to be entertaining rather than informative." Also on HowStuffWorks, they define reality television as "unscripted programming that does not employ actors and focuses on footage of real events or situations." Unlike dramas, sitcoms and documentaries, reality television relies on cameras filming and capturing everything as it happens. "This is Your Life" was technically the first reality television show in the early 1950s, originally broadcast on radio in the late 1940s. "The Original Amateur Hour" (1948) paved the way for our reality shows. modern talents such as “Star Search”, “American Idol”, “The Voice”, “Americas Got Talent” and many others. In 1973, a different type of reality TV show first called “An American Family”.
