Mystery of Shore Road by Franklin W. DixonThe Hardy boys, Frank and Joe, were driving down Shore Road and they heard a report of a stolen car. Frank and Joe ran to the scene and saw the stolen car. Suddenly, a large truck of red goods arrived in the middle of the road. The boys had to brake suddenly. They crashed into a fence and were dazed but unharmed. The driver got out of the truck and said he was sorry. Frank thought there was something wrong with this guy. They both went home and tried not to let their mother see all their cuts and bruises. The next morning, a man named Jack Dodd called and told the Hardys to come quickly. The police were looking for someone who had stolen a car. The police thought they had found their man. They found Jack Dodd's fishing rod in the trunk of one of the stolen cars. Jack told police he didn't put it there and that it was being framed. The cops handcuffed Jack and his father and took them to headquarters. Later, the police chief came to the Hardys' home to tell them that the Dodds had left in their station wagon. The Hardys had known the Dodds for a very long time and they just didn't seem like them to break the law..
