  • Essay / Trust and Distrust in the Story of a “Real Marriage”

I really liked how you saw that no matter how bad things got, Amir never lost faith in his wife. By the end of the story, I thought the author wrapped up the story perfectly by assuring me and Abigail that everything would be okay and that her husband would be there every step of the way with her. What confidence and what faith! This is why I think the title “A Real Marriage” is so appropriate for this story. Even though Abigail and Amir were different in almost every way, they still believed in each other that there was good. A real marriage is based on faith and mutual trust and that's exactly what Abigail and Amir had in each other.
