ESSAYS #1 and #2As a public school superintendent and educational leader, one is regularly required to wear many hats and assume a variety of responsibilities. A responsibility of paramount importance: communicating the focused mission of the school. Another responsibility is to deploy the educational institution's standards of academic excellence and advance the academic competitiveness of the Academy of Notre Dame. My experiences in carrying out these responsibilities have been broad and range from curriculum development, to implementing highly academic programs that exceed national standards, to public relations, budgeting and communications creatively with all stakeholders in the school district. In order to successfully navigate diverse responsibilities as a superintendent, it is imperative to utilize an eclectic leadership style. Knowing when to use a style is then just as important.
