    In today's society, technology revolves around our daily lives. Cell phones and wearable devices have taken over our rapidly changing world. Although there are some positive aspects to the growing opportunities in technology, there are still many negative aspects. Car accidents are one of the leading causes of death in the United States today (Driving While Distracted: Statistics to know). Although accidents seem out of our control, in reality, most car accidents are caused by a lack of attention to the road. In the United States, to prevent further deaths from distracted driving, cell phone use while driving should be completely banned. Due to the nature of the consequences of distracted driving, a solution must be found immediately. Being on the phone while driving, also known as DWY – Driving While Yakking, can be very dangerous for a driver and the cars around them because the driver is not completely focused only on the road (Kiesbye).
