    PortfolioAs a child, my lifelong dream was to become a nurse. Although distractions may have caused a delay along the way, the reorientation ultimately corrected the path to achieving that dream, which was an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN), nearly twelve years ago. At the time, this was an acceptable goal, but with the ever-changing healthcare field, I was wrong. Training, not only in life but also in nursing, is ongoing and necessary to keep up with these changes. While researching articles for research papers while studying at Jacksonville University (JU), I came across this quote: Let us never think of ourselves as accomplished nurses...we must be lifelong learners - Florence Nightingale. So while attending JU I adopted this as my motto, I learned so much during my time at JU. By creating this portfolio and achieving the course objectives at JU, I realized that I was not only completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), but beginning a never-ending journey into the nursing profession that would take me will ultimately continue to provide effective, safe, quality patient care, while becoming a leader and mentor to other nurses using evidence-based research and technology.
