Essay / Scuba Diving - 833
Scuba diving is the type of diving in which a breathing apparatus is used underwater, which acts as a gas supplier for the diver. This allows divers to stay underwater longer than with freediving methods. In diving, swimming fins attached to the feet are used. Scuba diving is practiced for both recreational and professional reasons, including cave diving, wreck diving, ice diving, and deep diving for recreational purposes. Professional diving is practiced by people from the civil engineering, naval diving and salvage department. I started as an open water diver, am now a rescue diver and hope to master diving (Robinson, page 2). The Red Sea lies between arid, semi-arid and desert lands, has great depths and efficient water circulation patterns. The Red Sea is a perfect place for diving; here there are many places to dive. Particularly Dahab which is very beautiful with the mountains, the smell of the sea and the sand. Dahab also enjoys a pleasant climate all year round and welcomes a large number of tourists. Popular activities around this place include snorkelling, windsurfing and scuba diving. Land activities around Dahab are: jeep rides, camel rides and drive to Mount Sinai. I mainly exercise my professionalism in this region (Printfu). When I was an open water diver, I did diving recreationally. I had obtained my technical training and was certified diver. I progressed through extensive training, gained experience and perfected my techniques to become a rescue diver. During this time I did wreck diving, where I explored wrecks. Wrecks attract divers because they are a denizen of marine life and test their skills. Diving into a wreck through the narrow passages that must be navigated, and the ...... middle of paper ...... in better communication with its partners. Another requirement of diving is mobility in the water. Rapid movements in deep water will allow a diver to have a large distance to cover compared to less mobile divers. It is therefore important that a diver is trained to achieve the desired level of diving ability (Ferrer, page 8).
