    This is an overview of the Chemical Defense Training Center (CDTF) located at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The common theme is how safely training has been and continues to be delivered at its facilities. History The Chemical Defense Training Center was originally located at Fort McClellan, Alabama. The chemistry school was established at Fort McClellan in 1979 (US Army, 1986), but after the Base Realignment and Closure Commission decided to close Fort McClellan, training was moved to the new Fort location.
