    She arranged treatment for him and after a week, Mathew was sent to rehab to get treatment and realize what he had done wrong in his life. Mathew was in rehab for two to three weeks. After rehabilitation, Mathew came home and hugged his mother so tightly and whispered in her ear, “Mom, I’m sorry.” He promised her that he would change, that he wouldn't do what he did. Mathew realized that his friends were increasingly influencing him negatively. After two months, Mathew saw his old friends again. He talked to them for a while and said, “I can’t be friends with you guys anymore.” He decided to end their friendship because of what happened. Mathew quickly learned how important life is. He once said: “I am lucky to have a mother like my mother; after everything that happened to me, I realized that life really matters. I guess it's a good thing that this happened to me because it made me grow and I learned from my own mistakes. I realized that I shouldn't trust anyone right away and that I should be grateful for what I have. This experience was his turning point
