  • Essay / Frankenstein - 680

In the book “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelly, the two most important characters in the story and Victor Frankenstein and the creature he created who will henceforth be called “the creature”. Neither can agree on the key points of the story, but one of them is guilty of murder, but to understand the story, you must first summarize it. The plot of “Frankenstein” is that Victor Frankenstein becomes obsessed with creating human life. After several months, Victor creates the creature composed of dead human parts. Victor found what he had made disgusting and runs away then later returns to kill him but finds that he has disappeared. He then returns to Geneva where his family lives, then the creature arranges a meeting for him and Victor, then the plot shifts to the creature's point of view telling Victor where he is trying to adapt to his environment. The creature travels for several days and eventually joins a family of cottagers. He hides in a hangar and monitors their lives. He watched how they were going, he listened to their conversations and he also helped them during the night because he saw how much it bothered them. Finally, after some time, he learned to speak, write and read. After some time, he confronted the blind family member while the others were away and they started talking. The creature said they were the friends he never had, then the rest of the family comes back and chases him away. The creature is very saddened by this and has sworn revenge on Victor for this. The creature had Victor's journal with his hometown of Geneva, so he started traveling there. Then the story returns to Victor's storyline where it shows how he is back in Geneva. He... middle of paper... with him guns, daggers and guards in case the creature appears. Victor hears the sound of a flute which he knows the creature is playing and ran outside to inform the guards and look for him, then they heard a crash coming from the room where Elizabeth is. The guards and Victor ran to the room to see the monster on Elizabeth's corpse. It's time to decide who the real murderer was and why. Victor was the person who created the creature and because Victor was unwilling to face what he had done, the creature killed the people close to Victor out of hatred. But technically, Victor didn't kill anyone with his own hands. Then there's the creature that killed a total of 3 people with its own hands and 1 possibly accidentally. In short, the creature is the real murderer because he killed the people with his own hands, all because he didn't get what he wanted and he was angry..
