Essay / Megan Koons - 1044
The first question I asked about this was: Were you ever worried that I would fall in with the wrong crowd? She said: “We can HONESTLY say NO!” This has never been a fear of mine, despite who you are dating. My boyfriend choices in high school were never very smart, but then again, my parents never stepped in and let me figure it out or figure it out on my own. Then I asked if you saw my personality change with who I was hanging out with? She replied, “No, your personality never changed with the people you hung out with. YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN YOU!! That's why you didn't hang out with some of the other girls in your class because they were like that. Finally, I asked if you think my high school friends were a positive influence on me or not? Again, she had a similar response to the one she had before: "Yes, they were because they helped you become stronger!" I was always impressed with how you handled both sides of a situation and your ability to not jump off the edge.
