There are many reasons why I chose a career in pharmacy and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a perfect fit for my life and it's something which fascinates me more and more. about. It started when I was researching a career with my parents and my father suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it piqued my interest because at the time it was one of the few things which I thought I wouldn't hate doing. A career in healthcare has always been in my future, mainly because most of my family works in healthcare. Something I love to live by is to always challenge yourself, because if you keep doing what is easy, you will never advance or become better. It's already been a difficult road and I know it will get harder, but challenging myself in school is my immediate goal, and I know it will be worth it later. It also helps keep things interesting. I know I would make a fantastic pharmacist so I aim to challenge myself every day in everything I do, including my training. This is closely linked to my long-term professional goals. In the long term, I really want to help as many people as possible by moving pharmacy forward. It's a dream to be able to go to a developing country or be part of an organization like the World Health Organization and spread pharmacy knowledge and bring...... middle of paper......kills. Simply put, I'm smart enough that I can be a good pharmacist, but not too smart that I get in the way of my interaction with patients. I am always able to explain difficult things in a way that most people understand. My professional experience includes three summers working at a credit union and time spent job shadowing, both of which are valuable. They will help me by giving me a starting point to build my professional career. Work experience is valuable because it allows me to see how things work with jobs in the "real world" and prepares me for my future after graduation. The internships I completed will help me decide exactly what I would like to do after graduation. I hope all my ideas lead you to the same conclusion I did: I would make a great pharmacist one day and pursuing this degree is a major step toward achieving that...
