On October 14, 2012, Felix Baumgartner flew 24 miles above the earth's crust and jumped. He broke numerous world records that day (Mission History). Baumgartner broke the record for highest exit altitude (24.21 miles) and also broke the sound barrier. He achieved the record for maximum vertical speed at 843.6 mph and the longest free fall at 119,431 feet (Mission History). This operation was imagined by a public relations specialist from the energy drink company Red Bull in order to attract the attention of new potential consumers. A public relations specialist is one who helps a company or individual gain notoriety and increase market share. Public relations specialists are needed for all aspects of the business world and are a great career option. A successful public relations specialist will need to perform many individual tasks within themselves.
