Let's take a look at how we interact and form relationships. Happy people like to be around other happy people. It's safe to say that it's natural to surround ourselves with the kind of people we want to be. Conversely, it is natural for us to withdraw and isolate ourselves when our health deteriorates physically or emotionally. A person's social skills indicate how healthy they are. Ideally, a person has a good balance between social and personal time. We have a good sense of who we are and are comfortable being ourselves in all situations. Get involved in your community and give back. Paying it forward is the best medicine after laughter. Practice the Golden Rule and treat others as you would like to be treated. Respect goes a long way. Know what's right for you and set boundaries with people so you can develop healthy relationships. These relationships are based on trust, communication and joint problem solving. Maintain these relationships and keep your social support network close and you will live a happy life. Make sure you surround yourself with people who uplift you and encourage you to grow and become better.
