    Anne Frank, also known as Annelies Marie Frank, was a sixteen-year-old girl who was murdered during the Holocaust. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany to parents Otto and Edith Frank. Anne Frank had an older sister, three years her senior, named Margot Betti Frank. The Franks were known as a very liberal family that was also classified as a middle class family since their ancestors lived in Germany. In 1933, the Franks decided to move towards Amsterdam as Germany was overthrown by the Nazis. While the family had adapted to Amsterdam, Otto Frank had really focused on his business since arriving in the city. Anne and Margot also adapted to the school system and when they were well adjusted, they began to have Jewish and non-Jewish friends. Six years later, in 1939, Anne and Margot's grandmother decided to also join them in Amsterdam and reunite with her two beautiful nieces. In March 1940, a horrible tragedy occurred in Amsterdam: Amsterdam was attacked by the Nazis who reversed their decision....
